Residential Report Writing & Case Studies (15 hour CE class)

This class focuses on the variety of form reports in use by residential appraisers today: the URAR, 2055-drive-by-format, and others. Students will gain valuable insights into how to fill out these forms properly, in compliance with USPAP and other guidelines.

15 hours + exam

Good for Fifteen Hours (15 hours) of Continuing Education Credit for NCAB

USPAP covers the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, which are part of the Commission’s Rules.  Students learn about appraisal reports, with emphasis on standard report forms.  Using the URAR form, students participate in a comprehensive case study of an appraisal of a single-family house.  Instruction is given on various special considerations in appraising other types of residential 1-4 unit properties and in appraising farms.  Students, lastly, are introduced to the condemnation appraisal and appraising special (partial) property interests.

*This course counts towards either Pre-licensing requirements OR CE Credit.

7-Hour USPAP

Good for Seven Hours (7 hours) of Continuing Education Credit for NCAB

The 7-Hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice Update Course of The Appraisal Foundation focuses on the recent changes to USPAP requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers.  It also includes information intended to clarify some commonly misunderstood aspects of USPAP.

This course is designed to aid appraisers in all areas of appraisal practice seeking updated competency in USPAP, including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.

*7-Hour USPAP is a required portion of the total 28 hours CE that must be completed every 2 year cycle.
